Thoughtful Gifts

One difficult thing about living in a small town is the availability of unique gifts for family and friends. Whether it be for a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas, I love nothing more than giving the people I care about thoughtful, meaningful gifts. These gifts are not things that I am likely to pick up at either our local pharmacy or feed store. Enter my newest favorite pastime—online gift shopping. Thanks to us checking out Utah hughes net , we recently got satellite internet at our house. I can now spend time online searching for the perfect gift for whatever occasion is coming up. I can also enter the recipient’s address and have it sent directly to their house! Did you know many sites even now allow you to include a personalized card with your order? I cannot tell you the countless hours this has saved me! I no longer have to drive over an hour to the nearest mall, run around to find the perfect gift, and mail it. The entire gift buyingprocess has been reduced to sitting on my couch in my pajamas shopping on my computer. Hallelujah!

New job New Scrubs

For the first time, in a long time, I am getting ready to go to work at the hospital as a nurse. I’ve been out of work now for about two years and I feel like a child getting ready to go to her first day of kindergarten. I’ve bought all my Nursing scrubs  uniforms turned in my nursing licenses, and had my PPD test for Tuberculosis. I am so excited. I know my first day of work will be great and I will be hit with a great sense of accomlishment as soon as I walk in and see everyone walking around the hospital grounds in their uniform.

I bought shiny new scrubs from http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/ and I am excited to start.   There is nothing that says hospital more than the uniforms everyone wears to work. To some they are scary, but to me they are simply comfortable and familiar. In other wings the of the hospital there will doctors dressed in a white scrub tops which is less scary but at the same time it just seems more clinical. If its been a long tough day for a doctor there may even be fluid stains on the scrubs. Luckily for me, I wear a bright cheery nurses uniform. I can’t wait to get my candy stripe look going and get back to work!

Advice for Avoiding Crowds at a Trade Show

To be successful, the trade show exhibit must answer the visitor’s three key questions — who the exhibitor is, what they do, and why a visitor should spend time inside the exhibitor’s trade show booth.

Focus on the big picture of what you want to have happen at the trade show and don’t get your booth trampled. In other words, keep your company’s trade show marketing goal in mind when planning the crowd control at the trade show booths.

Avoid common trade show crowd mistakes, such trying to explain your new product by putting too much information in your trade show graphics that make people stop in the aisle –that is the job of your trade show booth staff, but make sure you keep people behind the velvet ropes.

Make sure your stanchions are set back from the crowd and the graphics are readable from a distance of 10’ away and from 8’ above. Be sure to design your barricades and trade show booth with people in mind – what people will see when they approach from the aisle, what they see when they step inside the booth, and at the back wall.

Make your trade show booth the place to be – people want to be where the action is –and they want to be part of the action, and you will be happy with teh attendance and avoid the crowd pressure.

Remember, it’s up to you to decide what your trade show exhibit display will do to relay your company’s message. If you follow the above rules, you can have a successful trade show experience; whether you have a pre-owned trade show exhibit display, a custom trade show exhibit, a custom modular trade show booth, a portable or pop up trade show exhibit display, or a trade show display rental.

Classes at Walden

I recently decided that I wanted to be a Marketing, public relations, and sales executives. Marcom people are the first line of contact between a business and the public. When a company has goods or services to sell, the PR, marketing, and sales executives are responsible for communicating and interacting with consumers, the media, and other external groups to make sure the company succeeds. I don;t have the time to take classes in a local school, so I signed up with an online university called WaldenU.edu .

At a fraction of the price and time that a community college would take I am now going to be well on my way to a dream career with . Walden University’s online degree programs has give walden many awards for its high quality of education, and I am looking forward to learning so much. If you learn about Walden you will discover that the teachers at Walden really care and they aren’t just some public university employees working for a pension.

The education I expect to receive over the next couple of years is second to none, not even an Ivy league can compare since the the professors and services are there specifically for me to learn. In a regular university you are just another tuition check, but at Walden a student is a customer and the customer is always right.

Bra purchases

There comes a time in every woman’s life when she needs to look at plus size bras. In my experience it was because a pregnancy swelled the breasts so much, the traditional bras no longer worked. When it came to look for plus size bras I logged on to womanwithin.com and found some really good options.

The plus size bras were far cheaper than what I had seen in many of the stores like Macy’s and Walmart. Also, I was a little embarassed when I went to the store and buying online allowed me to be a lot less embarassed from a problem that I had nothing to do with. I had no overate or anything like that, but suddenly needed a bigger bra. I know that I shouldn’t be embarassed but that’s how I am.

If you are like me and need to upgrade the bra size a wee bit, just go online and start shopping in the privacy of your own home. The prices are great, the options and privacy even better. Don’t suffer any longer in a tight fitting bra just get online and get a bigger bra now!

Bought New Clothes

This weekend I went shopping for some new clothes because the weather is starting to turn. We are going from average highs of 90 degrees (farenheit) down to the 60′s. Rather than starting to wear a full coat, I am just going to go out in plus size clothing for women. The Fall season is typically when the great deals start coming around for the early birds looking for new clothes. Clothing stores test new designs with some sales.

I surfed onto  http://www.roamans.com/ and I was very pleasantly surprised to see very affordable hoodies on sale anongst other plus size clothing for women . Even better for me, I picked up some women’s T shirts at clearance prices. I am not so fashion conscious and I have no problem at all tossing the t shirts in the closet to be worn next summer. People may notice that its the previous model year’s fashion, but I could not care less.

Roamans plus size clothing for women in general has some great fashions and they are a really affordable alternative to “in” stores like Abercombie, American Eagle etc. Additionally, if you like  fashion, you need to get it directly from them since their clothes do not end up in Marshall’s or Ross like other clothing lines. So what are you waiting for? Log on or go in to a local store.

My company offers a really lenient vacation policy and we decided this year to wholly take advantage of it. I love being in the office and getting things done so much that sometimes I don’t take off like I should and I find myself at the end of the year totally frazzled and worn out. My husband is from Germany so I think we’re going to go over there for a week and stay with family, which wil help keep the cost down. I went to homeSECURITY101.com last week to look into a home security system since we’ll be gone so long and I found a kennel willing to take the dog for a week and not charge us an arm and a leg. Since we rarely take vacations I’m not sure I remember how to do it anymore…I hope I don’t forget anything important! Luckily both our passports are still valid and we’ve got some new luggage but other than that, we’ll just have to see if anything goes wrong, I guess!

Repairing my car

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and its always giving me problems. I just discovered this great site Repair pal where I can learn a ton about how to repair my car. I am one of those types that likes to do a lot of tinkering on my own, and Repair Pal gives me a community where I can learn from other tinkerers.

For example, last week I had this problem where my windows wont roll down, I can not shift it out of park, and the dome lights wont come on. What fuse and/or relay could be the problem and where is it located. When this many things were broken I knew that it had to be a fuse and relay and not something majorly broken. Fuses and relays are cheap, parts are not.

I quickly learned where this fuse was and saved me hundreds of dollars instead of going to a mechanic. It was a lot easier to fix myself than I ever thought this could be, and I felt really accomplished that I was able to do this on my own. For years I poured money into mechanics and people who did not even know what to do help me and STILL charged me.

Conducting due diligence

I needed to conduct due diligence on a company  I was purchasing. I spent many tens of hours on Google but I could only find snippets of info. After a couple weeks of seeking info, I stumbled across a due diligence checklist which happened to come from Merrill Datasite. Through that checklist, I hit pay dirt.

The checklist introduced me to the servicce that would provide all my due diligence needs for me. Merrill has a virtual data room and reams of information that is so valuable when you are conducting due diligence on  a company for acquisition or just for investment purposes. It appears that every penny you could spend on Merrill is worth the expense, since so many hours of hard and laborious research will be saved.

In addition to data, merril also has translation services for when you are looking into a company that has documents in a language you are not familiar with. If you do not know the language, you would not even know whether you are looking at the right docs.  Brink International is a leading provider of financial, legal, life sciences and corporate Translation Services for global companies. With Merril’s translation and data services you cannot go wrong.
